Lettuce B. Frank Truck Fire, please donate to get us up and running as soon as possible!!
Earlier this evening while driving back from BJ's with supplies and propane for the rest of this week, we heard a loud pop from the engine in our truck and lots of white smoke. When I pulled over and lifted the hood thinking there was something wrong with the radiator, flames shot out at me from the engine. I immediately opened my wife's door and ran to get my 6 month old baby girl out her car seat.
To my amazement, two gentlemen stopped and helped us frantically unload all of our food and propane without saying a word. We were lucky to escape unharmed and salvage all our belongings from the truck, but it was a complete loss. The fire inspector told me that it was an equipment malfunction and most likely the A/C unit. I would like to express my gratitude to the two gentlemen who stopped to help us and the NYS Troopers and Irondequoit Fire department for their quick response. We are grateful to be safe and sound.
My apologies to all of those who will be looking for a healthy lunch tomorrow. We will hopefully do our best to back out as soon as possible and are grateful to all of you who have reached out to help us in this time of need. My truck was my business and my business is my livelihood. We have had multiple speed bumps this year in the path to becoming successful business owners, but I assure you that this bump won't slow us down.
